30/40 Minute Rides Hi-Tech Indoor Cycling
These are a shorter version of the Performance Series rides and when performed 2-3 times a week can offer an individual a complete cardiovascular conditioning program, that will build a stronger heart, give you more energy and assist in weight loss goals. To participate in these rides a complimentary PowerBike Orientation is required, at which time the participant will receive a professional bike fit, a fit test to determine their Power Threshold (the value that training programs are based on), and receive a complete understanding of riding with Power.
These rides may be scheduled at the riders convenience so that you “ride on your own time”, not on a fitness club’s schedule . Rides may be scheduled 7 days a week, from 6am-8pm. The key to the success of the 30/40 minute rides is the tailoring of each ride to the user, the variety of workouts, and the users feedback during and after every ride.
For the athlete following the Performance Series, these shorter rides offer a valuable supplement to their weekly ride. To accelerate their progress these athletes will use a Power Threshold that is 5-10% higher than what they use for the longer Performance Series rides. By applying this training concept, both body and mind start to adapt to higher intensities and eventually the athlete is able to produce more Power on the longer Performance Series rides.
These rides benefit the busy athlete by requiring less of a time commitment, are mentally less draining, and help to avoid overtraining.
