Emerging Cyclist Camp
May 4 & 5th
This camp is designed for those cyclists newer to the sport and looking to learn the in’s & out’s of road cycling. You will receive the personal attention and coaching necessary to effectively learn new skills that you may be a little tentative about. In addition to having an opportunity to practice these essential road riding skills, this camp will also offer a weekend of enjoyable riding in the greater Kalamazoo, MI area to help you build up that valuable early season base.
This camp is a great introduction to key cycling skills for novice cyclists or a refresher course for more experienced cyclists.
These skills include the following:
Understanding your gears and how to use them effectively
Pedaling techniques that produce more power
Essential braking and cornering techniques
Riding more comfortably and safely within a group
Learn to climb hills faster and more efficiently Learn to descend hills more comfortably
Learning to effectively utilize the concepts presented at camp will give you more enjoyment while riding and also make you a stronger rider.
Participants should be prepared to ride 20-35 miles during sessions of camp
Camp Cost: $279
LODGING- Bay Pointe Inn Shelbyville, MI
Enjoy staying 1 or 2 nights at the beautiful Bay Pointe Inn while at camp. The Inn is located on Gun Lake and in the heart of some of the best riding you will find in southwest Michigan. Saturday night we will enjoy a fantastic “farm to fork” dinner at the Terrace Grille overlooking the lake.
